Latincouver Cultural & Business Society
(paid position – 6 months employee contract)
Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 12 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.
Business Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation of long-term and short-term marketing strategy, development of campaigns, strategic partnerships, relationships with all stakeholders and management of multiple projects simultaneously.
This role is very important for building the image of the organization and the successful flow of cultural and business events within all of Latincouver’s projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create and implement a marketing and sales strategy, marketing development plan for the company and its programs
Prepare and deliver marketing manuals for the team as the main guidelines for employees of the department
Prepare and deliver promotional presentations
Update and maintain department documentation, database, and manuals
Define business and marketing goals and metrics and use marketing analytic techniques to gather important data
Manage marketing and promo support of events including printing and online marketing materials
Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns
Manage the marketing and sales team (staff and volunteers) including coordination, tasks assignment and delivery, tracking and assessing
Create social media campaigns and coordinate posts using Latincouver social media networks
Create newsletters and all the content needed to maintain the communication and marketing channels
Manage the branding for Latincouver and its projects, programs and events
Create post-event reports (marketing part) and annual reports (gathering information and designing the final document) as well as reports on demand of the Board
Assign, maintain and report budget for the marketing department
Help to market Latin Plaza Hub space and services through social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters) and occasionally attending networking events to increase the traffic of new clients
Manage Latincouver websites (latincouver.ca, latinplaza.ca , carnavaldelsol.ca, lcbn.ca, inspirationalawards.ca)
Connect members to each other and connect members to resources that they need to be successful in their business and in Canada
Organize and create an exciting calendar of business and social events meetups, toastmasters, pieces of training and workshops that fits the core of Latin Plaza and Latincouver
Manage corporate communication from the marketing perspective, including PR, media, newsletters, content creation
Prospect and lease new sponsors, partners and stakeholders
Requirements and Skills
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business
Good understanding of business management and marketing principles
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Must speak English – Spanish and Portuguese is an asset
Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Excellent knowledge of MS office and online analytics tools
Confident, outgoing team player with a proactive can-do attitude
Self-motivated to prioritize workload, and meet critical project milestones and deadlines
Experience in digital marketing and social media campaigns
Strong organizational skills
Must have knowledge of Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Hootsuite, Later, Google Ads, MailChimp, among others
Experience with CRM, SEO, WordPress and plugins such as Classic Editor, Elementor, Yoast SEO
