    The Role

    As an eLearning Content Creator, you will assist with the development of a world class training experience for all users of the Seequent suite of products. Key functions of this role will be producing new e-learning courses designed to help our users efficiently and effectively use Leapfrog, Central and other Seequent products to tackle their modelling and data management challenges, as well as updating the existing training content with every new software release. This role will be primarily responsible for generating content to support the Civil, Environmental and Energy industries.

    This position sits within Seequent’s global Training Content Creation team, with individuals based in Europe and Canada. The team’s purpose is to help the organisation grow and sustain competent usage of all Seequent applications by contributing to an accessible, interconnected ecosystem of Training, Help, and Support materials. The global Training Content Creation teams works alongside our Application Help technical writers and our Support teams to help equip our users with the knowledge they require to be proficient with the Seequent product suite. While conducting instructor-led training sessions will not be a focus for the eLearning Content Creator role, you will liaise with the front-line instructors in the Technical Services team to gather feedback they receive from customers regarding the training materials.

    We are looking for a competent technical writer with a civil engineering, environmental or geoscience background and a proven ability to explain complex concepts in a concise, easy to understand way. Familiarity with and/or working knowledge of Seequent products would be a major asset.

    This role can be based out of a Seequent Canada office – Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto or have the option to work remotely in Canada or the US.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Design and build engaging e-learning courses using dominKnow
    • Manage e-learning courses and content within the Seequent Learning Management System (LearnUpon)
    • Update e-learning courses at release time (twice annually) with new features and improvements based on learner feedback
    • Design and build in app e-learning content for Seequent’s growing cloud-based solutions portfolio
    • Assist with development of new training workflows/training datasets
    • Keep an up-to-date understanding of what the various products can deliver for users
    • Build relationships with development and product teams to stay on top of new feature development

    In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

    • University degree in Engineering or Geoscience, or a background working in civil engineering or geosciences
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Experience with instructional design
    • Strong ability to problem solver and think critically
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop sustainable working relationships
    • Proven team player with a self-starter attitude and ability to work well independently, at times remotely, and self-manage workload effectively
    • Fluent English required. French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an additional asset
